Privacy Notice

Last updated 1 November 2026

We collect as little as we need to run Synaplogy. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

Who is responsible

John Carlo Dizon, a sole proprietor doing business as Synaplogy, Cabiao, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, is the controller of your personal data. Contact: privacy@synaplogy.com.

What we collect and why

  • Account details (email address, username, and optional profile info): to create your account, sign you in with a one-time code, and show your profile.
  • Pre-registration (email address, the time you agreed, which version of this notice you saw, and whether you confirmed): to confirm your address, credit your pre-registration bonus if you later create an account with the same verified email, and email you once when Synaplogy opens.
  • Learning activity (courses started and finished, quiz results, daily check-ins, streaks, points, badges): to save your progress and run leaderboards.
  • Things you submit (reviews, reports, course suggestions, messages to support): to publish, review and answer them.
  • Payment information: handled by Paddle (see below). We receive confirmation of your purchase, your plan and country, but not your full card number.
  • Basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited): to keep the site secure, stop abuse and understand which pages work. Our analytics are cookieless and privacy-friendly.

Our legal bases

We use your data to provide the service you asked for (contract), to keep the site safe and improve it (legitimate interests), to meet legal obligations such as tax records, and for anything optional only with your consent.

Who we share it with

These service providers process data for us, only to run Synaplogy:

  • Paddle.com Market Ltd and affiliates: our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle processes your payment details and billing data as an independent controller under its own privacy notice.
  • Cloudflare: hosting, security, file storage, analytics and email forwarding.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: checks that forms are used by people and not bots, without asking you to solve puzzles. It reads signals such as your IP address, browser details and connection characteristics. See Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
  • Resend: sends our emails, such as your pre-registration confirmation and launch notice.
  • Supabase: our database and sign-in system (servers in the United States).

We may also share data when the law requires it, or to protect our users and the site. We will update this page and its date before adding a new provider that handles personal data.

International transfers

Our providers run servers in several countries, including the United States. Your data may be processed outside your home country. We choose providers that protect it with appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

Pre-registrations you do not confirm by email are deleted within 30 days. Confirmed pre-registrations are kept until Synaplogy launches and your bonus has been credited or you ask us to remove them.

We keep account and learning data while your account is open. If you delete your account we remove or anonymise your personal data, except records we must keep by law (for example payment records, kept by Paddle and us for tax purposes) and short-term security logs.

Your rights

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 and, where it applies to you, laws such as the GDPR, you can ask to access, correct, delete, or export your data, object to or restrict some uses, and withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@synaplogy.com and we will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the Philippine National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph) or your local data protection authority.

Children

Synaplogy is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, tell us and we will delete the account.

Security

We protect data with encryption in transit, access controls, and database-level security rules. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you and the authorities where the law requires if a breach affects you.

Cookies

See our Cookie Notice.

Changes

We will change the date above whenever we update this notice.
